After close consultation with our community, IAPB has made the important decision to postpone the Global Assembly 2020 to 11-13 October 2021.

Having spent the past year preparing for GA2020 with the programme committee, advisory groups, conveners and speakers, we were excited to deliver a diverse, innovative and engaging programme in Singapore this October. However, the health, safety and well-being of participants is of the highest priority. These difficult and unusual circumstances make postponing the event until 2021 necessary.

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed their time and expertise to the GA programme to date. We are disappointed that we won’t be meeting in 2020 to collaborate, connect and learn from each other, however we are enthusiastic about what a Global Assembly will look like in 2021.

We will continue to work hard to deliver an engaging, diverse and innovative programme in 2021.

As a team, we are working hard to make the transition to GA2021 as smooth as possible. It is important to note that at this time the Abstract Submission Portal is closed to new submissions. If you have submitted an abstract, you will be hearing from us. Please visit our FAQs if you have any questions. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we organise a bigger and better Global Assembly.

We look forward to announcing details of the programme for the Global Assembly in 2021 – where together we will shape the future of global eye care! Be safe, stay healthy.
